Dr. Rachel Nisbet graduated from Emory University School of Medicine, and continued her residency in Internal Medicine at Emory. It was during that residency that she started to see and experience how our healthcare system was affecting the way physicians, especially primary care physicians, care for their patients.
At that point in her career, she decided to pursue pulmonary and critical care medicine. While this meant s would be taking care of the sickest of the sick, it would allow her to do what she loved best – taking care of the person.
For her, it’s about being patient-centered and proactive for her patients. She knows patients are better off when she discovers conditions and diseases early. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care and holds a Medical License in Georgia. Dr. Nisbet primarily works out of our Duluth and Hamilton Mill research facilities.
